Double Grammy Award Winner 2002 and 2009, Albert Lee is undoubtedly one of the finest guitarists the world has ever seen. Albert is also an accomplished piano player and has a fine singing voice. He has a soulful voice but can equally 'tear it up' rock 'n roll style.
Albert excited audiences for many years as a member of Chris Farlowe’s Thunderbirds, Country Fever, Head Hands and Feet, Eric Clapton’s Band, Emmylou Harris’s Hotband, and The Crickets. Albert appeared with the Everly Brothers at their Reunion concert in 1983 touring with them extensively for the next 26 years. He has been a popular member of Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings, thrilling audiences with his playing and singing.
Co-writer of Country Boy and writer of many other great songs, Always in great demand by other artistes, he has played on countless sessions worldwide. He has appeared and recorded with many of the finest artistes in the music industry, including Glen Campbell, Dave Edmunds, Dolly Parton, Bobby Bare, Joan Armatrading, Ricky Scaggs, Joe Cocker, Willie Nelson, Linda Ronstadt, Rodney Crowell, Vince Gill, Travis Tritt, The Blue Caps, Robert Wells and Earl Scruggs.
As well as showcasing Alberts fabulous guitar playing, his concert at the South Holland Centre will see him joined by fabulous musicians on drums, keys and bass. A night to remember!
