American bluegrass quintet
Mile Twelve is a hard driving American roots quintet, beautifully walking the line between contemporary and traditional bluegrass. Fast gaining recognition and awards for their outstanding performances in the USA, Mile Twelve has been on a swift rise since the band’s formation in Boston in late 2014.
With four members from the Eastern USA, plus one New Zealander, Mile Twelve has its roots in Boston, where three members studied at the fabled Berklee College of Music. This engaging young five-piece delivers breathtaking live performances which feature outstanding musicianship and vocal harmonies (all five members sing). Their entertaining material includes some creative covers as well as their own acclaimed bluegrass and folk originals and a sprinkling of traditional songs. Mile Twelve has performed extensively throughout the USA, Canada, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand and Australia, and won the 2017 Momentum Award at the IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association) Awards.
